When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn’t work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me. — Emo Philips

closer and closer

with 13 days before i leave korea, the list of ‘things to do’ is getting smaller and smaller. i’m slowly getting stuff done and i feel today that i’ve got a reasonable grasp on everything.

my pension refund is finalised, i just have to wait for the payment. i bought my hiking pack yesterday (osprey 40 litre). i also got a couple of small items while at the hiking shop (socks and a first aid kit). i also got my last roll of film developed from the leica. i’ll put some of those shots on my site this week.

there’s not much to do. monday or tuesday i’ll buy my travel insurance. next weekend i’m going to hongdae on saturday night for a friend’s exhibition. sunday i plan to sell the last of my stuff (computer, etc). i have two more injections remaining (hep a, yellow fever) as well as a trip to the dentist for some minor work … the big thing is finishing the packing, cleaning and ‘throwing out’ of unwanted stuff.

friday will be my last day at kepco and next monday is my last day at bcm. i move out on tuesday and i’m staying with a friend until i leave on saturday.

i’m definitely at the business end of things now.
