I just entered the wonderful world of DSLRs and I was looking for a backpack style bag for my new camera. I was looking into the 300, not knowing that a 400 existed, and stumbled upon your very thorough and well-written review. I bookmarked your site for later use, but in the meantime, I'm leaning much more towards the 400 (even though it doesn't rain much in SoCal) than the 300.
