jessie
6/01/2008after the nude model shoot, a girl in my photo club came along to do some portrait work. i haven’t edited many yet, but this is one that i like.
photography night of fun
30/12/2007had a great time tonight. a friend, gary, and i rented a studio and a model to do some photography. the model showed up and the shoot went well. the model was cute and had a decent body. we did some work with her nude, and we also did a few other costume shoots, including a santa suit. i got a lot of good shots. we did some silhouette stuff that didn’t go very well, but we also did some low light work that looks really good. what we didn’t expect was that the model brought two of her friends along. with a little persuasion, we managed to get all three naked and on the set for some photography. it was a hell of a lot of fun!!!
after we got done with the nude work, another seoul photo club member called jessie turned up. we did a little bit of portrait work with her. then at about 12.30am, we finally got finished and headed home.
i’m pretty happy with the shots. the night went really well. i fired 10 gig of photos! lol … the only downside is that i’m stuck in a hotel room for 6 more days and won’t get a chance to do any editing until next weekend. even worse is that my memory cards are full. so unless i buy more memory, i can’t even do any photography!! LOL
i’ll upload some shots in a week …
nude girls & hooters
18/11/2007strangely enough, there’s no relation between nude girls and hooters, except that both happened on the same night.
this afternoon i went to a photo shoot that i organised with a nude model. the photographers turned up at 4pm and the model turned up at 5pm. we photographed her for a solid 3 hours. we used a variety of sets and props, and generally had a great afternoon’s photography. it was a lot of fun and i blew nearly 8 gig of photos (900 shots) … i’m downloading them to my computer as i type this blog entry.
the girl was quite nice and very friendly. we had a good time photographing her and she was very receptive to shooting with us. i’ll post some photos from the shoot later.
after we finished, at about 8.30pm, two other photographers and i, as well as my wife, all walked to apgujeong looking for some food and beer. we literally walked straight past a new ‘hooters’ restaurant and decided that would be just fine. the girls were cute, but not particularly big breasted, and we ordered lots of food. just as we were finishing, the restaurant stopped and held a bingo event. the prize was a 30,000 won coupon for a future visit. we won! it was funny and we were being noisy and cheerful.
sujoung and i finally got home at just after 11pm. we’re both tired, and full from a big dinner, but i feel good and i had a great day.
update: i took 1050 photos in total and on my first run i deleted 445 photos which were out of focus or where the model’s eyes were half open. i’ve finished with 735 usable photos … i can probably narrow that down to about 50 good shots to make a gallery with.
studio directions
29/09/2007the studio’s name is a la carte! their website can be found at http://www.studiocarte.com/ … the easiest way
to get there is on the subway to sinsa station, go out exit 8 and walk to the second corner. turn left and walk down that street. you’ll walk past a lot of trendy little restaurants, then turn right into the side street. walk a block
and past the next intersection, on your left, is the studio. it’s a little hard to see from the street, but when you see the stairwell leading to the basement, you will see a big a la carte sign there!
